My Journey to the Barre
I’m an accredited CBT Psychotherapist and internationally qualified Barre Instructor, uniquely blending evidence-based mental health practices with dynamic physical movement. With a Psychology degree, a Master’s in Sport & Exercise Psychology, and a PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies, I’ve honed my expertise working with elite sports teams, corporate leaders, and high-performance individuals.
My passion for Barre ignited in Los Angeles during the Equinox 200-hour Barre program, inspiring me to earn the internationally recognised American Barre Technique certification. I now bring this global perspective back to the UK, offering high-energy pop-up classes and tailored one-to-one sessions that integrate rigorous movement with mindful cool-down and breath work.
I come from a dance background, having competed internationally in Latin Ballroom and solo Freestyle. My body has always yearned for that expressive movement, drawing me back to dance time and time again. This time in the style of Barre - Barre and dance share the foundation of precision and alignment. Both disciplines emphasise proper prosture, core engagement and controlled movements. Barre inspired moves compliment those of Ballet and dance techniques, helping to improve balance, flexibility and body awareness. The strong focus on alignment not only enhances technique at the Barre but also promotes a mindful connection between the body and movement.
I design my sessions for those ready to invest in a holistic transformation—fostering a deep connection between mind and body to enhance both vitality and inner clarity.
At the Barre we combine precision of movement with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Techniques to help you break though mental barriers and achieve your fitness goals. This integrated approach empowers you to align your mind and body, enhancing focus, resilience, and mindfulness movement. As Napoleon Hill said, “The body achieves what the mind believes.”
